PLANTING NEW TREES & HEDGES

How can we make a difference?

Planting new trees and hedges can help offset our impact on our environment and small investments like this can have a positive impact on our lives too.

Choosing the suitable tree.

Holly, hawthorn, fruit trees, and Field Maple are great medium-range garden trees, native to the British countryside and valuable to wildlife. They also led themselves well to maintenance should they need it in the future.

Coppices of Larch and Scots Pine make great focal points of large gardens.

Oak can host over 500 different species of insects.

Ongoing tree/hedge maintenance plans

All trees have different growth patterns, in terms of colour, reaction to pruning, appearance structurally and in leaf, evergreen or deciduous, slow or vigorous, large or small. Having a plan can make a huge difference in the future. We can help with this.

Maintenance

Prevention is better than cure...and no more than does it apply here, preventative pruning can save the tree and your wallet. It pays in every way to be pro-active.

Japanese Knotweed

We offer qualified and responsible pesticide application using back pack and stem injection techniques.

"Right tree in the right place".

Not every tree grows in the right place, many trees are often planted in the wrong places. All have different characters, strengths and failings. Educated planting is really important.

Why Plant?

The suitable tree for an urban environment will be unlikely to grow naturally through germination where you want it.  Pro active planting is essential.

The correct tree in a suitable place will save you the planting costs and more!

When to plant.

We are available for planting services in December when the ground is soft for digging, full of moisture and the trees dormant. This helps to reduce the stress on the tree that is being planted.

HEDGES

MAINENANCE & PLANTING

Maintaining the look of your garden or property, but also fundamental to preserving the natural habitat. It’s best to work on maintenance before the spring when birds might be tempted to build a nest in certain hedges.
